The following is a list of medals.  We are trying to verify by military documents, family documents, media documents, etc.

 Four Silver Stars in 26 days – earned by McCormack on April 6th,  April 9th, April 11th and April 13th, 1942. (Verified by current records on hand) 

Prisoner of War for 1212 days, 11 hours, and 26 minutes.  McCormack was taken prisoner on May 27th, 1942 and held by Japanese on Luzon and other Islands in the Philippines and in Manchuria (Manchukuo).

Bataan Death March – 3,000 men were forced to march 10 days to a prison camp on Luzon Island, and again, many times later to new prison locations on other islands and China.
